Company to provide free upgrades to current customers

Minneapolis, MN—interMart, Inc. today announced the release of version 2.0 of its Shipping Solutions™ export documentation software, a company spokesman announced today. The upgrade, which includes a variety of new export forms and other enhancements designed to make the software even easier to use, is being offered free to current customers.

Shipping Solutions is a Windows-based software program that automates the export documentation process. Exporters who use Shipping Solutions can reduce the time it takes to complete the myriad of export documents by up to 80 percent while eliminating the need to purchase expensive pre-printed forms.

"Based on the feedback from our customers using earlier versions of Shipping Solutions, we were able to incorporate a number of new features, including a variety of new export documents, that should help the software meet exporters’ needs even better," said David Noah, president of interMart.

Shipping Solutions features interMart’s unique EZ Start Screen, which allows users to enter their shipping information on one standardized form. The $24995 software package uses this information to automatically complete all the standard export documents. A network version of the software is available for $49995.

Specifically, Shipping Solutions 2.0 includes these new features:

  • Automated Product Importing—Exporters can import their existing product databases into Shipping Solutions’ product database with a click of a button.
  • New Forms—An Overland Bill of Lading, an Ocean Bill of Lading, and a NAFTA Certificate Continuation Sheet have been added to the forms menu.
  • Automatic Data Entry—When exporters select exporter, consignee or product information, all the relevant fields are automatically entered.
  • Faster Database Retrieval—The Consignee and Product databases have been enhanced for faster data retrieval, particularly when these databases contain numerous records.
  • Field Expansion—More room has been added to the Consignee and Product Description fields to allow users to enter more information.
  • Improved Help File—The program’s Help File has been redesigned and incorporated into a new menu system.
  • New Help File for SED—"How to Correctly Fill Out The Shipper’s Export Declarations" has been added to the program group to provide additional assistance with SEDs.
  • New SLI—The Shipper’s Letter of Instruction was completely redesigned to better meet the needs of shippers.
  • Updated Invoices—The Commercial and Pro Forma invoices have been updated to meet new export regulations.
  • Redesigned Attachment Form—The Attachment for the SED has been updated and redesigned.
  • Improved Templates—All the template forms have been redesigned to improve their appearance and functionality.
